Hey, I’m Hallie Joe.

I’m a photographer based in Columbia Falls, Montana, serving the Flathead Valley, surrounding areas, and wherever else the road takes me.

When I’m not behind the camera, you can usually find me with an iced coffee in hand, hanging out with my dog Arrow and my cat Quinn, or doing something involving cars. I’m a big fan of good music, random creative projects, and taking the long way when I have nowhere else to be.

I’ve been photographing people for a while now, but Hallie Joe Creative Co. is a bit of a reset for me. I wanted my work to feel more like me — less focused on making everything perfect and more focused on creating something fun, genuine, and a little different.

My style is film-inspired lifestyle photography: digital images with a filmy, nostalgic feel and plenty of room for real life to happen.

I photograph couples, families, seniors, brands, and pretty much anything that gives me a reason to make something cool. I’m not really interested in making every session look the same, and I don’t think your photos should either.

I’m glad you’re here. ♡

My Philosophy

I DON’T WANT TO JUST TAKE YOUR PICTURE.

I want to create something with you.

I’m not interested in having one formula for every person who steps in front of my camera. A family, a couple, a senior, a business, a car, a creative project — they all have their own story, energy, and personality. I want the photographs to reflect that.

I like having a plan, but I like leaving room for the plan to change even more. I’ll bring ideas, direction, and a vision, but I’m also paying attention to what’s happening in front of me. Sometimes that means chasing a really good moment. Sometimes it means trying something completely different because the light is hitting just right.

I want my work to feel intentional without feeling staged.

A little cinematic. A little nostalgic. A little imperfect.

Most importantly, I want you to look at your photographs and recognize yourself, not the version of you that was trying to look like a photograph.

That’s what I’m chasing every time I pick up my camera.

Not perfect pictures. Something that feels like you. ♡
